Zyvere 2K Nanocoatings were specifically designed to extend the life of important surfaces by producing a permanent coating with extreme scratch resistance and self-cleaning properties (oil, dirt, stain, water & ice repellency).

Zyvere Nanocoatings were designed to be applied over Automotive OEM coatings including powder coating, over Automotive Aftermarket base coat paints, over Aerospace coatings, Industrial and Marine paint surfaces. Zyvere Nanocoatings are available in two-component ready-to-spray packages with convenient 1:1 mixing by volume. Apply using an HVLP gun or Rotary Atomization. Zyvere Nanocoatings can be air or bake cured. Market ready products include high gloss OEM and aftermarket clearcoats, matte finish clear coats and single stage topcoats.

Why is tiny such a big thing?

The smaller the particle, the closer they reside together, which alters the surface area and material characteristics dramatically. The reason water, dirt and stains remain on many surfaces is because the pores on the materials surface are large and spread apart.

Zyvere nano-structured materials penetrate into the smallest pores of Automotive Aftermarket Paint finishes, Automotive Custom Paint, Automotive OEM Coatings, Industrial Coatings and Marine Coating surfaces. Zyvere provides long term (10+ years) protection against weathering, scratching, chipping, dirt, grime and bug adhesion, water stains, bird droppings and chemicals.

What is a Nanocoating?

"Adding nanoparticles to the polymer matrix of a coating does not make it a nanocoating. A nanocoating is synthesized using molecular engineering techniques to create a nano-structured polymer/coating. Nanovere's patent pending nano-structured polymer based nanocoatings provide extreme crosslink density with remarkable flexibility".

Thomas Choate, Chairman & Principal Scientist  Nanovere Technologies, Inc.

What Nanocoatings are not...

A coating with nanoparticles added to the polymer matrix will only incrementally improve the physical properties. Nanoparticles or nano-dirt can be used as an "additive" in a coating to reinforce the polymer matrix, reduce UV degradation of the substrate, improve chemical resistance and change the coatings electrochemical properties. The technique of using nanoparticles to maximize the physical surface properties of a coating are limiting. Adding nanoparticles to a polymer matrix depend on the molecular structure of the polymer backbone, size and amount of nanoparticles added, particle dispersion throughout the coating, structure and functionality of the nanoparticles.

Tests prove that Zyvere nanocoatings have a dramatic improvement in scratch resistance and chemical resistance over all automotive clear coatings in the market today, including those utilizing nanoparticles or nano-dirt.

Why nanotechnology is unique?

All consumer products are produced from some type of raw material. Raw materials are composed of particles, which are usually invisible to the naked eye.

With recent advances in science using nanomaterials, chemical engineers are now able to manufacture extraordinary nano-materials using raw materials like metals, resins and ceramics, but engineering them at the atomic level. Engineering and altering materials at the atomic level (atom-by-atom assembly) can produce materials that are much stronger, lighter, harder and more scratch resistant than their parent material.

Zyvere Nanocoatings core nanomaterials are 7-10 nanometers in diameter and exhibit revolutionary scratch resistance, surface hardness, self-cleaning action, corrosion resistance and hydrophobicity. These particles are millions of times smaller than conventional coating materials. At the atomic level, nano-composites and metals like aluminum and titanium exhibit incredible strength, hardness, corrosion resistance and even transparency in coatings.
